UL (Underwriters Laboratories) listing means a product has been independently tested and certified to meet established safety standards for electrical components. It's not a manufacturer claim — it's a third-party verification that the product was built and performs the way it's supposed to.
For new components, UL listing is standard. For used and surplus inventory, it's where things get inconsistent across the industry. At Weaver Electric, we don't move product that can't be verified — new or used. Every component in our stock carries its UL listing, so you're not taking a gamble on surplus gear that's been reconditioned without documentation or pulled from an unknown source.
When you're wiring a panel, commissioning a machine, or keeping a facility running, the last thing you need is a component that fails inspection or creates a liability. UL listed means it passed. We make sure everything we sell can say that.
